Operating Participants
Over the past two years, I have been a part of a project known now as Disney Springs® at the Walt Disney World® resort. This expansive retail/dining/entertainment marketplace was once known as Downtown Disney® and over the past 5 years has doubled in size. The team I have been a part of is known as The Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Operating Participants department. In layman's terms that basically means that our department is responsible for the lease and negotiations with any 3rd party companies that operate here at the Walt Disney World Resort.
I am what is known as the Lease Coordinator. I assist a team of Account Managers as they manage contracts with both new concepts they are opening or preexisting contracts that date back decades. |

Some of the brands featured at Disney Springs include Under Armour®, Coca-Cola®, Sephora®, Anthropologie®, Blaze Pizza® just to name a few. It really has been interesting as a Disney fan to learn about this side of the business that I had not been exposed to prior. These contacts and real estate of course do not stop at Disney Springs and also are represented within our theme parks and resorts both here in Florida and around the world. I truly have been a part of a global team over these past few years and have grown exponentially because of it.

Alliances
This project and the area of the business I have found myself in has still remained within Disney's Corporate Alliance network. With my beginnings being in Disney Gift Cards in late 2014 and my continued lease coordination to this present day, each day I am learning more about the nature of this business. I am quickly learning how both worlds come together to bring amazing experiences to our guests around the world.
